Where are your training facilities?

We are headquartered in Surrey. However our courses are held countrywide in professional conference facilities, normally provided by hotel groups such as Ramada.

Do you provide hands-on in your courses?

Yes. All our courses include theory and lab components, and all provide hands-on with new software platforms and hardware technology.

Can I attend your course remotely?

Yes. We use WebEx for remote classes. With WebEx presentations are streamed to your desktop as they are held. You can interact verbally with the instructor and the class with a small webcam, and the instructor desktop is seamlessly integrated with yours. You can share online with the instructor and class, and access and use equipment as though you were sitting in a lecture. As a remote attendee you still get a copy of the course guide and materials, these are sent to you before the course runs. As a remote attendee you have the additional benefit of having your class recorded automatically, the recording is available for a limited time after the class is held.

What is the difference between your remote courses and online training?

Online training is non-interactive, or offers very little interactivity. If you fail to understand a concept you cannot ask questions as you are watching a recording. Online training also has few, if any, lab exercises, and provides extremely poor training for the industry. FarBright does not offer online training.

Our remote courses are proper interactive classes, with a live trainer and real equipment, and run at specific times. You get to ask questions, do labs, and as a bonus also have online access to a recording of your class for a limited period after completion.

Can I attend your course after-hours or part-time?

Yes. We run courses specifically for folks who work during the day. Part-time courses run on weekends and evenings, your choice. These courses are not listed on the schedule as they run continuously, unlike full-time courses which run on specific dates.

Do you offer course and exam guarantees?

Yes. All our course material addresses and goes beyond certification requirements. All our instructors hold current versions of the certifications they teach and also hold full-time practical employment in their area of instruction. However they also have excellent teaching and communication skills. Added value we offer is based on the instructor's career experience in Canada, and always includes insights into best practices, employment policies and practices, good design fundamentals, and partner/contact information that you will find valuable when working in the industry. How much are your courses?

All our courses are competitively priced. Prices are listed under the "rates" page. 

Can I speak to your advisors about questions after I complete the course?

Yes. We aim to certify you. We welcome your calls / email.

What course material do you teach from?

Our certification courses are based on Official Curriculum material published by the vendor whose certification you seek. In some cases we teach from self-study official curriculum material - we have found it to include a larger base of content, and always covers all required exam objectives. Instructors add value via hands-on labs with our equipment, and by explaining complex concepts and technology in words that make your learning and understanding considerably easier. We also expertly design course material. 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal payment. Payment by cheque is accepted subject to clearance by the issuing bank. We do not charge HST, educational services are tax free in British Columbia.
